1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Grok Exporter handles information when you use the Chrome extension, backend web pages, checkout, Pro restore, license validation, admin-supported license tools, and support contact flows.
Content stays local
Privacy Policy for Grok Exporter conversation exports, purchase records, license data, payments, restore emails, and support tools.
This Privacy Policy explains how Grok Exporter handles information when you use the Chrome extension, backend web pages, checkout, Pro restore, license validation, admin-supported license tools, and support contact flows.
Conversation export processing happens in the browser extension for supported Grok pages. The backend does not need your exported conversation content, titles, prompts, source URLs, or exported files to create files, validate licenses, process checkout, or restore Pro access.
You control the files you export, store, share, or delete from your own device.
Depending on the feature used, the backend may store or process purchase email, plan ID, license state, Stripe customer/subscription and failed-invoice identifiers, a sanitized payment-failure reason, last-paid and grace deadlines, notification status, device identifiers, activation timestamps, subscription cancellation state, admin session data, hashed short-lived restore/payment-recovery tokens, and basic analytics events. Grok Exporter never receives or stores raw card number, CVC, or expiry data.
Stripe processes payment details. Grok Exporter stores Stripe identifiers, plan status, billing mode, subscription period information, and checkout metadata needed to provide Pro access. We do not store card numbers.
Restore links, login messages, and support-related messages may be sent through Microsoft Graph or SMTP when configured by the site operator. These messages use your email address and may include temporary restore or admin login links.
Product analytics are off by default and are sent only after you enable anonymous analytics in extension Settings. They are limited to allowlisted operational properties such as event type, export format, scope, tier, stage, coarse message count, Free limit reached, Pro gate, plan or billing mode, browser, locale, version, OS, and error code. Random install, event, and short-lived journey identifiers deduplicate events and calculate anonymous cohorts; they are not derived from identity and are not joined to purchase email. Events exclude conversation content, titles, prompts, source URLs, filenames, exported files, license keys, and email addresses. Product events are retained for up to 90 days. Hosting, email, Stripe, or Redis providers may also create security and delivery logs.
Information is used to provide Pro access, validate licenses, restore purchases, manage trusted devices, process subscription cancellation, support users, prevent abuse, debug failures, improve reliability, and operate admin tools.
Information may be shared with service providers that operate the product, including Stripe for payments, email providers for message delivery, hosting providers for the backend, and storage providers for license or session data. We do not sell conversation content or license data.
License, purchase, device, subscription, restore, and admin records may be kept while needed to provide Pro access, support purchases, enforce device limits, handle disputes, prevent abuse, meet legal requirements, and maintain backups.
Grok Exporter uses technical controls such as hashed or temporary tokens, trusted-device checks, payment-provider checkout, and admin sessions. No system is perfectly secure, so you should avoid exporting or sharing sensitive content unless you are comfortable managing that file yourself.
You can use Free features without checkout, cancel subscriptions through supported flows, request license support, revoke old devices when supported, and delete exported files from your own device. For privacy questions, contact support from the email used for purchase when possible.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when product behavior, providers, checkout, restore, admin tooling, or legal requirements change.
